Class Description

Come learn about Swedish holiday traditions! A perspective on the history of Christmas celebration from the pagan times through the coming of Christianity and to modern, secular Swedish society. This class is for all those who want to know the reason behind many beloved Swedish Christmas customs: straw goats, red ribbons, lutfisk, rice pudding, advent calendars and all the rest! No Textbook required. The instructor will provide handouts.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your registration for this class and receive a refund any time up to 24 hours before the class begins. After that, no refunds will be issued. If the class is cancelled due to low enrollment or Teacher illness, students will receive a full refund.
