No and no. There may be tests given in some courses to help you understand what your skills are and what areas you might want to work on more, but these are not graded. They are purely for your own information.
No, SLI is not able to issue any official documentation for any purpose indicating your skill level with languages.
If your company will reimburse you all or part of your payment for our courses, and you would like documentation to prove that you attended the classes, we can supply this. When you sign up, please tell SLI you will be asking for this documentation so we can be sure the instructor knows to keep track of your participation during the course.
No, participation in these community-oriented classes does not fulfill any official language requirements for any purpose (class credit, university placement, citizenship requirements, etc).
In rare cases, recipients of certain university-sponsored awards or stipends (ScanDesign and Vallé awards, for example) may require participation (without grades) in a Scandinavian language class. In this unusual case, you should enquire about the exact requirements and then call us at 425-773-5370 or write to us at admin@scanlang.org (admin@scanlang.org)to discuss whether our courses may be acceptable for fulfilling this requirement.
